Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse. We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.
Main purpose of the post:
Working as part of a commissioned partnership between Stockport Without Abuse (SWA), Talk, Listen, Change (TLC), Age UK Stockport, and Stockport Homes, the Lead IDVA will work closely with the Service Manager and other members of the Leadership Team, co-ordinating and contributing to the provision of a high quality and high-risk domestic abuse support service, promoting user independence whilst ensuring that service standards are achieved, maintained and continuously improved.
The post holder will have responsibilities for providing the casework supervision to and providing the day-to-day management of a small team of IDVA’s to ensure the provision of high-quality frontline support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a proactive service approach to those at high risk. The post holder will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of, amongst others: the MARAC partners, including Greater Manchester Police, Children and Adult Safeguarding services, and other local partners.
